About Major Projects

Svevia's Major Projects business area specializes in planning, winning, and executing large, complex, and socially significant construction projects throughout Sweden. Here, we gather experienced specialists who work as a dedicated team to ensure high quality at every step – from early market monitoring and advanced cost estimation to efficient project management and safe delivery on site.

Major Projects is a group operating nationwide. Together with the division's project management areas, we work on tendering and execution of Svevia's larger road and construction projects. The group is a prerequisite for us to be able to perform larger assignments within the framework of our growth strategy.

Through Major Projects, Svevia has a national capacity for large construction projects. We support projects with the right competence and working methods so that execution becomes stable and profitable – regardless of location and conditions.

The Role of Project Manager

As a Project Manager with us, you will become part of Major Projects – an important group where we gather competence around Svevia's larger road and construction projects. The team consists of project managers, design managers, site managers, cost engineers, contract engineers, and a cost manager. Together with project management groups around the country, you will work to identify, win, and execute projects with quality and profitability.

The group is under construction, which means you will have excellent opportunities to influence and contribute to how we develop our working methods going forward. You will report to the Regional Manager for Major Projects.

In this role, you will:

• plan, lead, and execute major road and construction projects in line with Svevia's goals and values

• be responsible for project budgets, economics, and forecasting routines

• participate in tendering phases and assess risks and opportunities

• lead design work and handle contract issues with the client

You will have the opportunity to lead engaged teams, create good customer relationships, and together with competent colleagues contribute to developing some of Svevia's most significant projects.

Who are you?

We believe you have experience leading construction or infrastructure projects and feel comfortable driving complex assignments together with others. Your background may look different – what is most important to us is that you have engaging leadership and the ability to create structure and momentum in projects.

Experience that is valuable for the role:

• leading road or construction projects

• working in larger projects

• knowledge of AMA/MER as well as AB04/ABT06

• building and developing teams

• customer dialogues, cost estimation, or tendering

It is an asset if you have experience of:

• collaborative projects

• bridge or concrete structures

As a person, you appreciate collaboration and create engagement around you. You are business-driven but understand that good results are built on well-functioning relationships – both internally and externally. You communicate clearly, take responsibility, and contribute to a safe and inclusive work environment.

We consider it natural that you have good computer skills, can express yourself well in Swedish verbally and in writing, and hold a B driver's license.

Major Projects is looking for project managers for several of our regions. This specific advertisement is for a Project Manager in Stockholm/Mälardalen. The role requires mobility within the geography, and travel is part of the job.
